Advanced Investigation Training

Welcome to ADVANCED INVESTIGATION TRAINING!

This course is aimed at those who have already taken part in a basic course INVESTIGATION TRAINING. You should have some previous investigation experience.

Day 1Recap of Legal Framework and changes
Interviewing technique – how to deal with false statements
Working at an accident site – preparation for field day
Day 2Alarm / Transport to accident site
Practical Exercises within each working group
Assessment of initial findings 
Day 3Preparation of short report for PR department
Analysis and classification of findings from previous day
Responsibilities of an Adviser during international investigations
(with emphasis on working with the NTSB)

The key areas of the Advanced Investigation Training are:

  • Interviewing Techniques – Dealing with false statements
  • Working groups in an investigation
  • Advanced Human Factors Analysis
  • Short report/press release

Practical training is the main focus and will make up a large part of the training. You will get to know the workings of an investigating agency and acquire skills that will make you a competent adviser.

The course lasts three days and takes place in Germany.
